With a life-force of their own they breed like rabbits. You get one hanging around and then suddenly there are loads, all vying for attention.


They are the "What Ifs". And for many people they come in a worrying or negative guise. Much worse than any Dalek.

Looking out of the window here in Bampton the scene is a winter wonderland. Snow is covering everything in a thick, beautiful white icing.

Stuffing your face, as well as the turkey, at Christmas

So far, in the run up to Christmas, there's someone I know who's bought a tube of pink Smarties three times now for the same person. Each time she bought a tube they went into the present bag as a little extra gift. And each time this person heard them calling to her "eat me!". So she did.

She also bought a pack of four mini Toblerones and they too went the same way. Into the present bag and then into her tummy. To ditch her addiction to chocolate what she needs is the Compulsion Buster!

Random Acts of Kindness

There's a toll bridge in Oxfordshire, in Eynsham, which costs 5p to drive across. It's not a vast sum by any means but you do need to have your 5p ready so you don't hold up a queue of cars behind you.
Some time ago, when my partner Mark and I were driving towards the toll booth we had a 10 pence piece ready and normally we'd be given our 5p in change.
But this time something small but different happened. As we were approaching the bridge there was a car behind us. We didn't know the people in the car and they didn't know us but we decided to pay their 5p as well as our own.
